Using steam to decontaminate or to sterilize a freeze-dryers plant requires a plant designed to work under pressure and a long cycle times caused by masses in play.
The use of a VHP TDP® generator allow sterilization of freeze dryers not designed to work in pressure mode, so cheaper an simple, with cycle time reduced to a fifth or less than those needed for sterilization with water steam.
Also the thermal stress to which the plant is subjected during a water steam sterilization cycle, with a resulting in premature aging of many plant’s components, is completely cancelled in a sterilization cycle with VHP.
